A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
My background is in Nursing, a profession I hold close to my heart.
I became a Registered Nurse in August 2007 after completing my studies at Western Sydney University, Campbelltown.
Nursing shaped not only my career, but also my values — compassion, presence, empathy and the privilege of caring for people at vulnerable and meaningful moments in their lives.
Today, I am an Academic Lecturer with Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. Alongside this role, I have spent many years as a Clinical Facilitator with universities across Sydney and Wollongong. Teaching is something that fills me with purpose — I love being a positive part of nursing students’ journeys, guiding their learning, building confidence, and helping shape the future of our profession.
My path later expanded in a beautiful and unexpected direction.
In June 2018, I began studying with Rose Training to become an Authorised Marriage Celebrant, and on March 8th 2019, I was officially registered. Soon after, I continued my studies and became a Funeral Celebrant as well. In November 2019, I was given the opportunity to train and work as a Funeral Director and Planner — a role that brought my skills, my heart and my purpose together.
It truly felt like a full-circle moment — being able to deliver a lovingly crafted wedding ceremony celebrating the beginning of a story, or a heartfelt eulogy honouring a life lived with meaning. Both moments are sacred, both require care, and both reaffirm the importance of love, legacy and human connection.
Helping couples create their dream wedding day — or supporting a family as they say goodbye to someone they deeply love — is one of the greatest privileges I know. There is no greater reward than being trusted to stand beside people at their most significant milestones, offering guidance, warmth, dignity and presence.
